I use a Dell XPS laptop all the time. Work away all the time and my laptop is my work and music centre.
I've had a failed drive before and wanted something from a reputable company so went for Kingston.
Using the kit was simple. Just know how to get your hard drive out of the laptop. Rest is simple. One tip - print off the PDf instructions before you start.
Once the data is transferred across then reboot - I did it twice before you see everything is all sorted. Then booting is quicker - not flying but certainly quicker. Launching apps is certainly quicker. Outlook just opens. The other great change is the laptop is SO quiet and the heat drops 90%. Really good! Faster, quieter, cooler.
I'd recommend getting one of these if you ever need a new laptop HD. If your HD is older than 2 years then seriously think about getting one. If you use a laptop away a lot then having a quicker, more resilient disk is so useful.

| Received this drive within two days. Have it set up on a Toshiba laptop dual booting Linux/Windows 7. Very fast, and as easy to set up as a standard HD. |
